In 2004, AEROVISIÓN has deveoped and set up the socalled FULMAR aerial teledetection system. This consists of a small-size self-piloted UAV with capabilities to take and transmit real-time video or infrared images, a launcher and the necessary ground control station. The system's versatility is such that it can complete or even successfully substitute other more expensive systems, like helicopters and airplanes, used so far for many applications.

Its excellent aerodynamic efficiency acconuts for its wide range of speeds and climb rates. The composite materials used in its construction are exceptionally resistant and provide optimum protection to the payload. Its structural design supports +/-6g accelerations in all the axes of movement. Also, the aircralt has been designed so as to be landed on water, owing to its tightness and a pneumatic skid.
FULMAR is easy to operate, since its take-off, flight and landing are automatic and completely programmable ly means of GPS-3D way-points, using the control station. This station also serves to direct the movements and zoom of the onboard camera which is moreover gyro-stabilized and aimed automatically to the objetive. The whole system can be easily transported and put into operation by two persons in less than 30 minutes on any unprepared site or from a boat. |
